Social Media Intern

About the Role

Baal & Spots is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Intern to join our growing, award-winning digital marketing agency in Houston, TX.

The Social Media Intern will support our social media team by assisting with content creation, daily community engagement, and day-to-day social media tasks across a variety of client accounts. This role is ideal for current or recent graduates eager to gain real, hands-on experience in social media management and content creation at a fast-paced agency. You'll work directly alongside our social media team, building skills across platforms and learning what it actually takes to manage social media at the agency level. 

Responsibilities

• Attend client shoots and assist with content capture.

• Assist in creating eye-catching graphics using Canva.

• Assist in writing compelling captions that align with brand voice and strategy.

• Assist with daily social engagement by responding to comments, messages, and community interactions across client accounts.

• Help brainstorm and execute social media content ideas.

• Stay organized across multiple client accounts and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Current or recent graduate pursuing/holding a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

• A strong pulse on social media trends and platform updates.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced agency environment.

• Strong creative skills with experience in Canva.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic video editing experience through CapCut or other platforms is a plus.

• Able to commit to 20 hours per week and manage time well, including when working remotely.

• We highly encourage sharing any work samples or a portfolio.

Additional Details

This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week). Candidates must reside in Houston, TX, as occasional in-person client shoots will be required.

Please note that as a part-time position, this role does not constitute full-time employment and does not include benefits.

Job Type: Paid Internship, Part-time

Pay: $15/hr
