Baal & Spots worked on a comprehensive approach to marketing for LifeEnergy, an online energy retailer based in Houston, Texas that provides its customers with the ability to offset 100% of their energy consumption with renewable energy. We helped reimagine LifeEnergy’s image starting with their website — providing consumers easy access to a greener future by providing simple, easy-to-understand, waste-free electricity plans.
The challenge
LifeEnergy selected Baal & Spots to create a refreshing, modern website and a plan so that energy consumers across seven states could sign up for a LifeEnergy plan. Baal & Spots worked in tandem with the LifeEnergy marketing team, increasing enrollment and online traffic anchored by a new brand persona and optimized user engagement.

Building a robust enrollment pipeline
LifeEnergy uses proprietary software for consumers to enroll online, which requires a step for manual entry. To solve the issues with user error, we created an API to connect online enrollment with the software. This saves the LifeEnergy team time and ensures that the customer experience is optimized from start to finish.
Solving data timeliness
Before we began working with LifeEnergy, any changes in plan information had to be manually updated in multiple places by a developer. The lag between real-time updates and mistaken manual data created negative customer experiences. With the new website integrations, product updates can be incorporated simply with the click of a button.
Right place, right plan
LifeEnergy’s previous website showed all plans for all states and required users to manually select their location. Selecting the wrong plan deterred prospective clients from completing the enrollment process. With our help, location is automatically detected, ensuring a better online experience and increasing enrollments.
Integrating creative products
For a strategic content plan that would bring in new users, keep them involved, establish trust, and increase enrollments, Baal & Spots created several types of creative content to achieve these goals. We created graphics and built animations that were sleek and lighthearted. We wrote landing page content that was punchy, yet conversational and direct. We also wrote SEO-friendly content for LifeEnergy’s web pages and blogs.
